A little about me ..
Alison, Senior Hair Stylist
My journey in hair design began at the age of 26, when I quickly realized that this was more than just a career—it was my true passion. I spent countless hours styling my sister's hair and immersing myself in the world of fashion, often inspired by the dynamic runways of global fashion capitals. Although I earned a degree in Native Studies from Trent University, I knew deep down that I needed to follow my heart and pursue my love for hair design.
This led me to the Marvel School of Cosmetology in Kitchener, where I honed my craft. Upon graduating, I felt the pull of the big city and moved to Toronto, eager to expand my education and experience in the world of hair care. I had the privilege of training at Taz Salon in Yorkville, where I deepened my expertise in hair design.
While in Toronto, I immersed myself in the editorial world, working on photo shoots, fashion shows, and learning from an award-winning team. I was fortunate to work at Salon Daniel and H&CO by Hayley Bloomfield, both in the vibrant SOHO neighborhood. During this time, I contributed to styling teams for both Toronto and Canada Fashion Week and collaborated with a prominent male modeling agency, gaining expertise in both women’s and men’s hair.
My passion for hair design led me to Dublin, Ireland, where I spent two years absorbing the latest European trends and techniques. During my time in Ireland, I was honored to be a runner-up in the 2021 Keune Colour Explosion competition.
I truly love all aspects of hairdressing and offer a diverse range of services to meet my clients' needs. I’m particularly excited about my recent specialization in extensions and am continually learning new techniques to stay on the cutting edge. My mission is to help every client feel their absolute best, confident, and beautiful.
Outside of the salon, I enjoy hiking, Pilates, and practicing Reiki. My sisters are my closest friends, and I cherish every moment spent with them. I’m excited to have recently relocated to Huron County, an area I fell in love with when my parents retired here.
